2010...OHHHH the Possibilities

Happy New Year Ya'll!

This year I decided to ring the New Year in with amazing friends in the concrete jungle itself! But I have to tell you, before you think I got it going on or something because I spent New Years in New York City, with some of the flyest people you ever did see, toasting bubbly with my cab driver, party hopping from Dumbo to Midtown, wearing a Silk jumpsuit and a Platinum faux fur vest, Swagg Surffing in 5" McQueens, flirting with the right fella to finance my boy's birthday drinks, I have to tell you.....It wasn't All that! LOL

Ok Ok Ok, yes it was! I had a BLAST!

But this year was special because this was the FIRST time I entered the FIRST year of a new decade and attributed goals to that year. Goals that I know I will attain; goals that I know will force me to continue on my path towards the success that I've become well acquainted with; goals that I KNOW I've already been blessed with proceeding beyond! I had a pre-game pep talk with 2010 and it's looking good for the team. Making an entrance in my skin; the skin that has shed many of times but gets thicker and brighter moment after moment. OHHHHHH the possibilities are infinite!

People People People! Say THANK YOU! This year, this moment was not promised! And although we can look back at 2009 and say bonne nuit, we recognize that it was a doozy and we say THANK YOU! Many of our brothers and sisters didn't make it to this celebratory decade. Many of us struggled, cried, and prayed through a tough period of unanswered questions and unplanned happenings but we should say THANK YOU because we are here and we look SOOOOOO GOOD! However you celebrated last night, do it every night this year! Now I could stylish step up on my soapbox and give you a run down on why 2009 was such a blessing, but I think I will leave that to BET and MTV. What I want you to do, is bow your head, throw up your hands, or simply raise your glass, and say THANK YOU because you look SOOOOOOOOO GOOD!

My most memorable moment of the evening?
After 15 minutes of standing on the frigidaire of a block at Eastern Parkway and Kingston, my peoples and I pile in a gypsy cab (mexican style), destination...Glass Lounge. On our way to the city we jump start our year with a brief round table discussion of what our goals for 2010 are. (I love these guys and because Joi (me) gets choked up about everything, I'm squeezed in the back seat holding back a tear or two.) Spitt that will started us off and one by one we verbally dedicated this year to initiating something bigger and better in our personal lives and careers. It felt so good. I was curled up next to some of the hardest hustling geniuses I know, swapping blueprints amongst a cab ride. I think to myself, YOOOO, I chilling with the future; dominance at its finest and I'm right here. Yeah, this plans to be a beautiful year.

And that's when I say THANK YOU.

We pull up to Glass Lounge, get inside, and we say, Happy Birthday Hobbs!!!!
First goal for 2010, get my boy Hobbs a birthday drink.

Peace Love and Style
